THE idea
The Foia was one of our first Frankenrides, designed to be a full-on big jump/downhill hardtail. Light enough to be comfortable on an all mountain trail but tough enough to keep up with the full suspension boys on the downhill and handle the hucks to flat when needed.
The Foia (Pronounced 'Fo Ya'), gets it's name from the area on top of the Algarves highest peak Monchique. The frame is designed around a 140mm travel fork, with a static head angle is 67.5 degrees which is slack enough for big jumps and high speed downhill but with short 420mm chainstays it will be sharp through the corners.
The rear triangle has been designed to be super siff for climbing with 'knuckle' duster super tough dropouts making the rear as tight as you can get.
This Foia puts the 'hard' back into hardtail a truely indestructable mountainman's rig.
