Vånga 4x, dodgy riders & Dan the Man.

Swedish DH and 4x National Series – Vånga

Now here at Kingdom Bike we’re not known for finger pointing.

But I first meet Robin Wallner at Åre Maxi Avalanche 2011, during that race he had a fist fight on the track with Remy Absalon after he cut the super quick Frenchman into a corner during the qualifiers. Then during the actual race he overtook and accidentally blew the hands off the bars of the then leader and Kingdom test pilot; Alex Stock, causing him to crash.

Now Vånga 2011, and my man Danny Sørensen (Kingdom) accidentally gets taken out by Wallner Juniors foot in the finals and Robin goes on to win the 4x, Danny gets 3rd. Now is it a coincidence or…

Danny went on to get third place and will be racing the rest of the Swedish 4x Cups under the Kingdom banner on a Vendetta.

Scott 4x Challenge – Winterberg, Germany.

After being cheated out of a win in Vånga Danny went down to Germany and picked up a first place in the Scott 4x Challenge, he rode in the privateer class and cleaned up with a first place. Danny will be a real player on the 4X scene, hopefully when he starts taking World Cup Podiums he’ll still be wearing a Kingdom jersey.

You won’t notice it but due to production problems Danny has been racing and winning 4x races on a Legion V2 this year. The same Legion that took took James McKnight to a top 10 finish in the Single Speed European Champs in April. Now is that a versatile bike.

The dinner of a true champion. Coke plus meat plus chips…
